Danielle Goldfarb: "a very creepy movie, one of the scariest I've seen.. I don't know, maybe ghosts are more scary than axe murderers."
Jaka Sawyer Klemen: "Yes it's really creepy and great movie, but it's not the best one, seriously..
"
Ava M. Fields: "This movie has always been polarizing. Either you're greatly terrified or you think it's completely ridiculous. To be honest, it terrifies me. Maybe it's the slow methodical process by which Regan is possessed, or maybe it's the scenes in the hospital. The films scariest moments are when we have to watch Regan go through barbaric medical testing only to yield no real answer or result. The unknown is pretty scary. "
Dylan Brown: "William Friedkin's "The Exorcist" is one of the scariest movies out there and considered to be one of the greatest horror film of all time. The film is well ahead of it's time and it still considered as one of the scariest movies because of it's intense scary scenes, such as the infamous spider walk scene and its themes of demonic possession. This film is a required viewing for horror fans and should always be remembered as a classic! 10/10"
Rod Westray: "This movie in most movie critic ratings is rated the scariest the movie of all time simply because of the time it was released (1973) This movie was way of ahead of its time and it opened the door for creating of horror flicks u see today...the first horror movie to win an Oscar and for the people who think this movie was worthless are probably the ones who think Jason, Freddy and Jason are scary LOL"
Madl Maus: "Der war damals krass;))"
Ian Harford: "how the fuck did this get number 1??? its the worst movie ive ever seen even worse then 127 hours yea thats low id advise anybody not to waste your time watching this shit and watch something better

"
Isabelle Martin: "Maybe because this type of movie has been played to death in so many different ways and routes but I recently saw this opus by Mr. Friedkin after more than 20yrs.& despite the excellent performances by the entire cast,I couldn't keep myself from laughing through out most of the picture. I love when films which are meant to be serious in content & form manage to be more comical. It is one of the best horror movies I have seen
"

April Cathleen Cornelius: "One of the most influential films and voted the scariest film of all time by Entertainmant Weekly (it was third on Chiller's 100 Scariest Movie Moments) Inspired by a 1949 case and based on the novel by William Peter Blatty After finding the amulet representing Pazuzu on a dig in Iraq, Father Merrin who had defeated him once before is back. Cut to Georgetown. 12 year old Reagan becomes possessed by the demon Pazuzu who is in the Ouija board she plays with(she calls the demon Captain Howdy). After she is possessed, Reagan spews obscenties, spits pea soup masturbates with a crucifix and spider walks down the stairs. Father Merrin and Father Karras perform an exorcism in which both are killed. Awesome film just amazing.
Two sequels and two prequels follow "
