Heidi Martsolf: "Despite low ratings by others, I am a fan of this episode. With the characters trapped in two seemingly impossible situations: death by freezing before colliding with a cold star in the life of adventure with the doctor or being turned to dust by the Eknodine in a life of peace and quiet without him, this episode is one of my favourites in season five. In true Doctor Who fashion, there is a villain who is seemingly holding all of the cards as the Doctor, Rory and Amy continue to jump back and forth between the two worlds trying to figure out which one is not real. In the end it is Amy who makes the decision and it is one that has her leaving girlhood behind and embracing adulthood. The twist of who the villain actually is rounds out the episode quite nicely. "
