Danielle Goldfarb:a very creepy movie, one of the scariest I've seen.. I don't know, maybe ghosts are more scary than axe murderers.
Ava M. Fields:This movie has always been polarizing. Either you're greatly terrified or you think it's completely ridiculous. To be honest, it terrifies me. Maybe it's the slow methodical process by which Regan is possessed, or maybe it's the scenes in the hospital. The films scariest moments are when we have to watch Regan go through barbaric medical testing only to yield no real answer or result. The unknown is pretty scary.
Dylan Brown:William Friedkin's "The Exorcist" is one of the scariest movies out there and considered to be one of the greatest horror film of all time. The film is well ahead of it's time and it still considered as one of the scariest movies because of it's intense scary scenes, such as the infamous spider walk scene and its themes of demonic possession. This film is a required viewing for horror fans and should always be remembered as a classic! 10/10
Rod Westray:This movie in most movie critic ratings is rated the scariest the movie of all time simply because of the time it was released (1973) This movie was way of ahead of its time and it opened the door for creating of horror flicks u see today...the first horror movie to win an Oscar and for the people who think this movie was worthless are probably the ones who think Jason, Freddy and Jason are scary LOL
Ian Harford:how the fuck did this get number 1??? its the worst movie ive ever seen even worse then 127 hours yea thats low id advise anybody not to waste your time watching this shit and watch something better
Isabelle Martin:Maybe because this type of movie has been played to death in so many different ways and routes but I recently saw this opus by Mr. Friedkin after more than 20yrs.& despite the excellent performances by the entire cast,I couldn't keep myself from laughing through out most of the picture. I love when films which are meant to be serious in content & form manage to be more comical. It is one of the best horror movies I have seen
Ava M. Fields:Its rumored that Wes Craven got the idea for this film from a real life event. He read in the newspaper how a bunch of kids had mysteriously died in their sleep in California...and it went from there. That's the reason this movie was always scary to me. As a dream figure Freddy has no boundaries, but Nancy proves to be a worthy opponent.
Dylan Brown:I love this movie, it's my all time favourite horror movie! A masterpiece from Wes Craven the director of "Last House on the Left", "The Hills Have Eyes" and "Scream". The idea of not being able to sleep, because if you go to sleep you will die is very creepy. Robert Englund does an outstanding job at playing Freddy Kruger, he toys with your emotions in a humorous way and makes you feel like you are powerless over him. If you're a fan of slashers and Wes Craven, then this is a must see and fans of Johnny Depp will enjoy seeing him in his very first film. 10/10 :)
Isabelle Martin:All we can think of is how much we miss the Robert Englund Freddy. Man, that guy knew how to have a killer good time. He really knew how to make great movies that you can watch over a long time without being bored
Alexander Jacob Varela:i like this remake from Wes Craven's classic cause Robert Englund who played throught out the series had humor to the roll and that was not what freddy was about i like Jackie Early Haley who played cause freddy more creepier and scarier so Director Samuel Bauer did very well on this film that's why it's on my list
Rod Westray: Slasher films are not horror...more of a suspense and thriller movies
Mehedi Ashraf:Saw is the best movie in the world.we want to see Saw-(unlimited)
Bayley Marrtin:i liked it started a good series but the story lines in the later ones sucked but had much better blood and gore
Isabelle Martin:The first part is really great and a cool creative story..however when they added more parts it really got boring and it is all over the same again. It is sad to leave a bad taste after such a good start off.
Ava M. Fields:"we all float" -- Pennywise the clown. Arguably the scariest and most iconic clown in horror movie history. There's something really uncomfortable about watching traumatized children become adults, but never let go of that childhood fear. The horror genre is all about the effects of trauma anyways.
Bailey Collings:im 9 and i whatched it its freaken scary i have nightmares
Roxanne Parga:this movie was the most greatest horror movie.it rocks
Starring : Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, Catherine Hicks, Chris Sarandon, Jenny Agutter, Gerrit Graham, Christine Elise, Justin Whalin, Perry Reeves, Jeremy Sylvers, Tommy Smerdlow, Travis Fine, Dean Jacobson, Katherine Heigl, John Ritter, Nick Stabile, Redman, Billy Boyd
Director : Tom Holland, John Lafia, Jack Bender, Ronny Yu, Don Mancini

Anat Penini:I found this movie more funny than scary. Common a killer doll,,?
Ava M. Fields:Watching the mom (Catherine Hicks) from 7th Heaven battle an incarnated doll is enough of a reason to find this movie scary. I also like the theme about how advertising to children can yield painful results.
Ava M. Fields:If i had to make a list of 100 influential horror films this would be in the top 3. To put it bluntly this movie is scary, smart, and simple. There's virtually no blood in this film, but that's all but made up for by michaels stealth like behavior.
Dylan Brown:John Carpenter's "Halloween" is an independent slasher that was very successful and influential on the slasher genre. There were a few slashers before "Halloween" such as "A Bay of Blood", "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" and "Black Christmas", though It wasn't until the success of Halloween that slashers started to become more popular and increase, especially during the 80s. It inspired numerous amounts of low budgets slashers that got quite famous such as "Friday The 13th", A Nightmare on Elm Street", "Sleepaway Camp", The House on Sorority Row", "Prom Night", "My Bloody Valentine" and "The Burning". A very important horror film, that everyone should see :) 10/10
Alexander Jacob Varela:to me the greatest halloween film of them all the lowest budget ever of $ 300,000 sorry rob zombie i like your version but original movies are better and alway's will be
Ava M. Fields:The opening scene is one of the most talked about in horror cinema in the last 20 years. It manages to generate genuine suspense in as little as 5 mins, giving us one of the most iconic first victims scenes ever. Also the escalation of the phone calls is reminiscent of Black Christmas(1974).
Alexander Jacob Varela:this film i love cause of the plot and this could happen anywhere Wes Craven Director this so the cast was huge but my favorite actress through out the series and her film's is Neve Campbell cause it was a second big role before this was Party of Five so i am a big fan of hers
Isabelle Martin:The director doesn't do everything right to my opinion. The film's self-parody aspects are sometimes too sweet, and there are occasions when they dilute attempts at shocks and suspense. There are also a few too many twists and turns in the script, and the ending is unnecessarily protracted. In general, Scream probably could have benefited from a little more tightening up during either the scripting or the editing stage. However all in all, I recommend it to horror movie lovers
Jonathan Nimrodi:one of my fav's... can watch over and over again
Danielle Goldfarb:This movie was just too weird, I think a horror movie is especially hard to produce because it's very hard to make it tasteful. This is not tasteful.
Dylan Brown:A surprisingly very good remake of Hideo Nakata's "Ringu". The story is really good and Naomi Watts does a great job in her part. Almost as good as the original, but the story is a little bit better developed in the original and the scares are a little bit scarier, however the special effects are slightly better in this one. Overall it's a very good remake and it's definitely worth checking out. 8/10
Isabelle Martin:This is one of my fave's..why? It is unique in its story and you dont really know what is going to happen until the end...really enjoyed watching it
Danielle Goldfarb:CLASSIC! and a must see for sure. This is the movie where they discovered Jack Nicholson's talent. There aren't a lot of movies wehre you remember scenes to the script. "Hereeees Johnny!"
Ava M. Fields:This is a legitimately scary movie. I see something new every time i watch it. Whats the scariest moment? That horrible moment when we see the photograph from the past. Then it becomes clear, it happened before and it could happen again.
Jonathan Nimrodi:sooo creepy and scary. classic horror! Kubrik at his best
Dylan Brown:Some people dislike this movie but I found it to be ve...(More)
Dylan Brown:Some people dislike this movie but I found it to be very good, especially since the budget of the movie is very small and that it was meat to be an independent film, though it got big and it deserves it, because it is one of the best found footage movies out there. If you enjoyed found footage films like "Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County", The Blair Witch Project" and "Noroi: The Curse", then this film is for you :) 8/10
Joey Delorme:the movie was good but some points i just didnt get it like when the girl is out side why was she even there?
Ava M. Fields:This is my favorite horror series. Jason is a scary, determined, and vicious killer. But at his core he is just a boy avenging his mothers death, and his own.
Danielle Goldfarb:The result of this movie for me was being afraid of the water for years and years as a child, so I guess this movie gets some points for having a scary affect for years. All in all, a medium production, I would give it a 6.
Alexander Jacob Varela: this first ever summer blockbuster of the year 1975 film directed by Steven Spielberg himself is my favorite movie of all time and is the reason i got into sharks
Anat Penini:I thought this movie was scary and I only realized its power over me when I went into the ocean and ran out screaming when i felt seaweed brush up against me
Danielle Goldfarb:I don't understand how this movie didn't get the first place. An investigation story with scary twists in the plot, a relationship between a detective and a psycho cooperating to catch nuts number 2.
Chris Mike Cervantes:Can anybody else name a horror movie that won Best Picture Best Actor and Best Actress?
Jonathan Nimrodi:Great book made a fantastic movie! Hopkins with outstanding acting
Starring : Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Kerr Smith, A.J. Cook, Michael Landes, Jonathan Cherry, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ryan Merriman, Kris Lemche, Bobby Campo, Shantel VanSanten, Nick Zano, Nicholas D'Agosto, Emma Bell, Arlen Escarpeta
Director : James Wong, , David R. Ellis, , Steven Quale
