Yoghurt Kupski:One of the best sci-fi's, no doubt. It's hard not to like this movie, simply because it has everything. It's got droids. Lightsabers. Blasters. Spaceships. And what makes it even more exciting is all the talk that surrounds the movie, like when they mention a "corellian ship" makes you wonder how it would look like. It's a story about friendship and how people's fates get connected with one another. It's one of those movies that were made with love. The sound quality of the dialog is a bit mediocre at times, and you can imagine how a lot of the props are put together from different objects. With a limited budget any filmmaker uses all kinds of tricks at their disposal, and movies like Star Wars proves that a budget never needs to be abnormally big for a movie to be great.

Yoghurt Kupski:What if the dinosaurs would live in our time? That is what this movie gives a hint of, as a method of bringing dinosaurs back to life has been developed and a whole theme park has been built around this. At first it seems like a wonderful idea, but in time the visitors show their doubts and later all hell breaks loose. This is one of Spielberg's best movies. It is so packed with suspense that it's almost an action movie. The looks and sounds of the dinosaurs are so haunting and realistic that it's like a horror movie. And the battle for survival for the visitors makes it so engaging that it sometimes is like a drama. It blends a couple of genres, mixes in a very well-made soundtrack that has some memorable themes (including the main theme ofcourse) and tops it off with a great cast and a story about the subject of cloning and bringing history to life (literally).
Yoghurt Kupski:Alien is a cosy little horror/sci-fi-flick. The movie follows the classic dramaturgical model very well and makes a smooth transition from suspense to relief. It builds up with the problem of an alien planet and an alien that attaches itself like a parasite to one of the main characters. This gets worse as the alien manages to kill off every crew member except one. The movie rounds off with a great ending and some relaxing orchestral music from Jerry Goldsmith. Overall a classic.

Isabelle Martin:some scenes are just unforgettable! Movie so unrealistic but full of excitement
Yoghurt Kupski:The theme of artifical intelligence taking over mankind has been dealt with many times in movies. Almost far too many times... but the Matrix gives a different twist. It makes one question if reality really is reality, because when you get to the bottom of it, how can any one of us be really sure? This movie is one of the best movies ever made, simply because everything rocks. It's a full-on experience and a true action movie, as there is a lot of violence and shooting and fighting and some reality questioning in between. The action is well directed and manages to stay cool after so many years. The sequels were pretty good too, but the first one indeed remains the best.

Sven Zorman:Kinogeschichte und sicher mehr als ein gewöhnlicher Film. Mit Mini-Budget zum Kassenschlager - das schaffen nicht viele, der Grund liegt in der genialen Handlungsidee!
Yoghurt Kupski:The Terminator is about the future but takes place in the present (well if you refer to 1984 as "present"). The story is quite simply. The mother of the leader of the resistance of the future war between man and machine has to be eradicated (or should I say, "terminated") in order for the machines to be in charge of the future. So the machines use time travel, and so do the humans who send a man back in time. That's the basic premise and that's what builds up the whole movie. It's got a haunting and awesome soundtrack consisting of synthesized and metallic sounds, kind of goes together with the theme of the future. The music and the movie hints of a dark one indeed. And with a movie as well-made as The Terminator, it feels more real than any other film.
